International MBA participants raised money for cancer research and treatment

As you may know, Movember is global mobilisation for men that let growth their moustache and love that. Far to be a man for mobilisation pride, Movember has been launched to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as cancers. According to the Movember Charity website, this worldwide event has been created to change the face of men’s health.

In October 2013, Stephan Thodesen, participant of EMLYON's International MBA, engaged the entire men’s cohort to join the movement to edit a calendar and sell it to generate revenue for charity. The project received a warm support from his colleagues, male and female too. The last months of year 2013 was a new interesting experience for most moustache wearers and foster MBA participant connections. Mid-December, a camera shooting session has been done delivering a set of 11 superbe portraits. EMLYON supported the project by sharing professional photographer services and printing services to deliver 100 copies of the calendar. Its Japoneses touch came from Takuji Kitagawa, International MBA participants too, who designed the entire calendar with the support of some friends. The calendar has been sold worldwidely thanks to the 17 nationalities of the 2013 International MBA cohort.

Center Leon Berard, expert and innovative research and treatment center for cancer diseases, received 520 € thanks to 2013 International MBA participants. This project was a proof of concept which could be replicated and improved for the following years to become a kind of tradition for EMLYON MBA participant.
