Working in close collaboration with industry professionals is an integral part of the programme which is why students benefit from company visits from the very start of their EMLYON adventure.

After attending the opening ceremony, the new cohort spent two days in Annecy, located in the French Alps, where they met members of the Outdoor Sports Valley team and visited Salomon’s factory. During their visit at one of the top sportswear companies in the world, the students visited three workshops: the ski boots design and assembly lines, the mechanical injection systems, and the ski development and production workshop. Each workshop supervisor gathered the students around the different machines and products to explain how ski and outdoor equipment are developed. During their induction days in Annecy, the new cohort also attended a presentation given by Richard Collomb Patton, Manager France for Scott Sports SA, and visited a few showrooms of sports companies.  They also enjoyed a few team building activities including StandUp Paddle on the Annecy Lake!
