Tell us a bit about your background.
I am Carina. I was born and raised in Mannheim, Germany. After high school I decided to study abroad. Studying in English had been my dream for years. I am currently completing my International Bachelor in Communication & Media at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
During my studies I did an internship in the beauty online retail back in my home country in Hamburg and I went on an exchange to Bocconi University in Milan. I had the time of my life there and I was definitely in the perfect city to explore my interests in luxury and fashion. 

Why did you decide to join the program?
I decided to join the MSc in Luxury Management & Marketing the day it was suggested to me by a friend that I met during my studies. We were talking about our future dreams and overall passions, when she told me she knew a Masters’ program that met my expectations. Next thing I knew, I was researching everything there was to know about emlyon business school and this program. I also visited the school twice although I knew that what the program offered in terms of luxury management and marketing education, as well as its entrepreneurial traits and connection to the industry, was exactly what I had been looking for.

What do you expect from the program? 
I expect to broaden my horizon when it comes to everything in luxury management and marketing. To learn the ins and outs of the industry and become a professional in the field. I hope to be connected to many inspiring people and leave with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Additionally, I am eager to live in the places that come with a lot of fashion and luxury history as well as in cities that are of huge importance when it comes to the development of this industry.
