This year, the incoming intake of the program started off the program on Monday August 31st at Institut Paul Bocuse with a two week-long Professional Immersion Module which marked the start of their new adventure!

During this module, set up specifically to help students immerse themselves into the operations and culture of hospitality and lifestyle right from the start of the program, the new cohort appreciated and assimilated the traditions of the industry through courses including Service Techniques, Coffee and Tea Appreciation as well as Wine & Beverage Tastings. They also got to discover their classmates’ educational and cultural background as this year’s cohort hail 12 different countries!

Furthermore as part of their Professional Immersion Module, the students attended EMLYON’s opening ceremony during which Bernard Belletante, Dean of EMLYON Business School, gave an inspiring speech to all incoming cohorts explaining that EMLYON Business School will help students become who they want to be! The new cohort also took part in team building activities over at Miribel Jonage, a park located outside of Lyon, during which they met students from other EMLYON programs and enjoyed practicing sports including run & bike, golf, rock climbing, beach volleyball, archery etc.

After spending two intensive weeks together, this year’s cohort is ready to start classes and become part of the next generation of global hospitality leaders!
