Interview: Ragna, future student of the MSc in Management - European Triple Degree - Grande Ecole

My background: my name is Ragna, I’m 24 years old and I am currently working in Germany. I love to travel, discover new countries and get to know people. I studied international business and art history in Germany and Canada, where I was able to meet students from all over the world and build lasting friendships. After finishing my B.Sc. in International Business, I am currently working in consulting. I am looking forward to starting the MSc in Management - European Triple Degree – Grande Ecole to acquire a more in-depth knowledge, especially in the field of strategic decision-making.

Why I chose this programme: the reasons I chose this programme are manifold. The main appealing aspects to me are the practical orientation, the focus on strategy and change in the second year and the diversity in culture as well as in professional perspectives. From my point of view there is a great advantage in learning about different views and techniques on how to approach issues, which you can best learn by building relationships and working together in an international team., Working with students from different cultural backgrounds will prepare me to work in an international setting in my later life.

What I expect from this programme: I expect the core courses in the first year of this programme to deepen my knowledge in general management, as well as to get a good specialisation in strategy and change within the second year. As I am pursuing a career in strategy consulting, I hope to enhance my problem-solving skills through the practical approach offered in this programme and wish to develop my critical thinking through the diverse academic background including different perspectives on common management, diversity of legal framework and socio-cultural environment within Europe as well as the complexity of global business.
