- Tell us a bit about your background: my name is Georgina. I’m Mexican. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Public Accounting, and a master’s degree in Economics and Business. I have been working for almost eleven years in both the private and the public sector, where I have specialized in public finances. I love to travel and do sports, especially tennis.
- Why did you decide to join the programme? I was looking for a programme that would allow me to develop and strengthen the abilities and knowledges acquired during my studies and through my professional experience. Due to the design of the specialised graduate programme in Quantitative Finance, I found that the 4 to 6 months internship would allow me to reaffirm and put into practice the knowledge acquired during the classes, mainly the new techniques in finance. Another strong reason why I decided to join the Specialised Programme in Quantitative Finance is because of its ranking - within the top 10 positions in the QS world university 2018 rankings.

- What do you expect from the programme? Professionally speaking, I expect that the specialised graduate programme in Quantitative Finance will open new and better career opportunities and help me reaffirm my career path and my passion for finance, especially public finances. It will allow me to strengthen and improve my skills and knowledge in finance and gain access to better job positions that require a higher degree of complexity.
Personally speaking, I expect to acquire an international background and a chance to interact with students and professionals from diverse backgrounds, which would provide me with an interdisciplinary and multicultural point of view.
