Since the Renaissance, the banks of the two rivers, the Rhône and the Saône, that flow through the city, the Fourvière basilica that dominates the city centre, and the Old Lyon, are sights that make Lyon an extremely pleasant place to live in. Lyon is not only home to many of France’s large corporations which now operate worldwide; it also attracts many international firms and organisations. For centuries, the city has been a trading centre at the cross-roads between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean South. While its entrepreneurial culture dates back to the silk manufacturers in the early 19th century, its present dynamism is based on a diversified range of modern industries: energy, chemicals, vaccines, laser technology, etc...

Off-campus accomodation: The Résidences et Loisirs Association offers an Accommodation Service in priority to emlyon business school students.
This service offers off campus accommodation search service with a list of offers private landlords (according to your criteria) in the surrounding of Ecully, or downtown Lyon.

Studying in Munich

Munich is the capital city of Bavaria (Bayern), Germany. It is located on the River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Munich is the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg. There are about 1.35 million people living within city limits, while the Munich Metropolitan Area (including the urban areas of Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Rosenheim and Landshut) is home to over 5 million people.

Studying in Lancaster

The Lancaster University campus occupies a beautiful 560-acre parkland site at Bailrigg, just three miles from Lancaster City Centre. The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide named Lancaster “Best Campus University” in 2018, which is in part down to the wealth of facilities available. The campus is home to banks and supermarkets, bars, cafes and restaurants, and even a modern sports centre with swimming pool, gym and climbing wall.

A short bus or cycle ride will take you from our campus into the heart of historic Lancaster – a city full of character and culture. There’s everything you’d expect from a modern city with a thriving arts scene, a busy nightlife, beautiful parks and a castle dating back almost 1000 years...

By day, a strong 'coffee culture' vibe runs throughout the city, with the Atkinson's roaster wafting its aroma onto China Street, and many cafés and restaurants dotted throughout the cobbled streets. Lancaster's nightlife buzzes with live music at the many pubs and wine bars within the city, situated along the banks of the canal, through the Georgian streets and even underneath the city in the castle's former wine cellars.

Lancaster is small enough to explore on foot and big enough to keep you entertained.

Lancaster University accommodation has retained the accolade of ‘Best University Halls’ in the 2015 National Student Housing Survey of 200+ UK institutions.
They offer different accommodation options on campus, ranging from standard single rooms with a washbasin to a self-contained studio flat. On-campus accommodation starts from £88.20 per week. You can also live off campus, with many good value options in Lancaster city centre.
