The official opening ceremony of the European Master in Management took place on Wednesday August 26th on EMLYON’s European Campus, marking the start of the students’ international journey!
Just like every year, the European Master in Management students hail from a multitude of different cultural and educational backgrounds and all share the same goal of starting an international career in a global business environment.. This year, the 132 students of the cohort come from 33 different countries such as Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroun, China, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Mexico, Morocco and Oman.
During the first few days the students attended an Academic Presentation given by Gudrun Kiefer, Head of the European Master in Management track - EMLYON Business School, and Manfred Schwaiger, Dean of Studies Munich School of Management, during which they got more information about both institutions and their courses, and took part in EMLYON’s grand opening ceremony! During the ceremony, Bernard Belletante, Dean of EMLYON Business School, gave an inspiring speech to all incoming cohorts explaining that EMLYON Business School will help students become who they want to be. Furthermore, students had the unique opportunity to hear from Tony Parker, world-renowned basketball player who is also the President of Lyon’s basketball arena, home to the ASVEL team, through a video testimonial. Gaëtan Muller, Vice-President of the ASVEL club and Tony Parker’s right-hand man, as well as EMLYON students and alumni also came to share their experience with incoming intakes.
We wish the students good luck for their future endeavors.
