Welcome to the 2014 intake of the Global Entrepreneurship Program!

The official opening ceremony of the Global Entrepreneurship Program took place on Wednesday September 3rd, 2014 on EMLYON’s European Campus, marking the start of the students’ journey in the program.

Like every year, the Global Entrepreneurship Program welcomes international students from many different backgrounds and professional horizons who all share the same objective: build up their entrepreneurial skills on three different continents in order to launch their own business, take over a family business or enter a company and develop new business ventures. The class includes 47 students from approximately 15 different countries including France, Germany, Ireland, India, Senegal, Colombia, Panama, the USA, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, China, Tunisia and Italy.

After the opening ceremony and an academic presentation of the program, the students had the opportunity to visit two companies founded by EMLYON graduates: Very Cook and Simplifia. Visiting two start-up companies allowed the students to familiarize themselves with their new learning environment. As part of a team building exercise, the Global Entrepreneurship Program students also went to France Aventures, a tree climbing park, located on the upper hills of Lyon.

Classes have now started and the students are already immersed in the European Business Project, an inherent part of the curriculum of this ground-breaking double degree program.

The first portion of the program taking place on EMLYON’s European Campus will end in November and the students will travel to Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, and Purdue University in West Lafayette, USA for the second and third part of the program.

We wish all the best to the students for their future endeavors in the program!
