MBA Participants Get a Glimpse into the World of BioTech
Swiss biotech company Roche is a frontrunner in personalised healthcare. Every year they invite a number of selected students to join them in their headquarters to learn more about the company and careers available. Learn more about the event from current MBA participant Daniel Ortiz.
"As an International MBA student at emlyon business school, I was invited to attend the MBA Summit at Roche’s headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. It was a day for 130 MBA students from the top European business schools to learn about the cultural values, purpose, and careers at Roche. We learned that although Roche employs 95,000 employees, it strongly focuses on human relationships and gives employees the opportunities to pursue their passions within the company. During the case study portion of the day, we were separated into 6 teams and given a real business scenario. My team was responsible to allocating the budget for a specific market. It was in this instance I learned how a Roche employee has the responsibility of putting people first in making important business decisions.
